Inhalants:

A Not-So-Hidden Danger

Tuesday October 17, 2006

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT

Inhalant abuse is on the rise according to recent national and local surveys, and inhalants can kill without warning

the very first time they are abused!

For too many adults inhalants are just not on the radar, despite the fact that an increasing number of middle school-age youth, and grammar school-age youth, are experimenting with inhalants.

That’s why the Connecticut Inhalant Task Force invited

Howard Wolfe

Director of the New England Inhalant Abuse Prevention Coalition and recognized national expert on Inhalants, to conduct a one-day training which will include: Inhalants 101, assessment & referral, treatment issues and the special considerations needed for prevention education.

In addition, members of the CT Inhalant Task Force will discuss the Task Force’s current efforts in the State and outline its current technical assistance programs that are

available to schools and communities.
